Make a donation today to one of the seven Endowment Funds in the Roots of Change Planned Giving Program. These investments yield an annual return, half of which goes to a designated purpose; the other half is re-invested for future growth and more annual grants to the operating account. If you choose, you can designate your donation in honour or in memory of someone special in your life (make this choice in Step 2 once your are on the PaylPal site).
Once you have taken care of financial needs for yourself and your family, talk to your lawyer and/or your financial advisor about including the Roots of Change Foundation Planned Giving Program in your estate. Then talk to the Planned Giving Administrator at Roots of Change Foundation about your plans.
Contributions can be made in several ways, including:
- making a bequest in your will
- naming Roots of Change Foundation the beneficiary in a life insurance policy
- transferring an existing life insurance policy to Roots of Change Foundation
- transferring securities or shares of registered Canadian companies.
Planned giving is an effective way to provide sustained funding for the poverty relief programs inspired by Father Denis Hébert.
